Uncommon Sats
Each time a block on the blockchain is unlocked by a miner, the miner is rewarded with a reward block of Bitcoin. The amount of Bitcoin rewarded halves every 4 years with each Bitcoin halving. The original reward was a block of 50 Bitcoin, the current reward block is 3.125 Bitcoin. An Uncommon Sat is the first Sat in a reward block. So, the first Sat in the ordinal sequence when a miner receives their new, uncirculated 3.125 Bitcoin reward. Currently a new reward block is received approximately every 10 minutes, this means that approximately every 10 minutes a new uncommon sat enters circulation. This may sound like a lot however, given that an individual Bitcoin contains 100 million Sats and subsequently currently each reward block contains over 312 million Sats, it would seem that the name Uncommon is quite fitting.
