Black Rare Sats
Black Sats are similar to the Sats on the Rodarmor Rarity Index, the only difference is instead of being the first Sat in a particular reward block they are the last. Roughly every 10 minutes a new block on the blockchain is unlocked and the person who mined it is given a reward block, currently worth 3.125 Bitcoin. However, this halves with each Bitcoin halving. To make sure that a new block is unlocked at a consistent rate the difficulty of unlocking a new block is adjusted every 2,016 blocks (roughly every 2 weeks). This is because more and more miners attempt to unlock transaction blocks, making the unlocking process easier and faster. A Black Rare Sat is the last Sat in in the first reward block mined after a difficulty adjustment. Since the Bitcoin halving in 2024, for about every 6,300 Bitcoin and every 630 billion Sats there is 1 Black Rare Sat. Prior the halving these were even less as the reward block was worth more Bitcoin. For example, when the reward block was worth 50 Bitcoin there would be 1 Black Rare Sat for every 50x100million Sats.
